Community is at the core of bluer’s efforts to realize God’s desire for each of us. We desire community to be a catalyst for experiencing a growing relationship with God and cultivating authentic Christian relationships so that together we can impact our world for Christ.
We have small groups meeting throughout the week and planned events throughout the year whose purpose is to disciple believers and solidify this vision of God, community, and the world in our hearts and minds.
God
At bluer, it is our belief that God should be the center of our lives and community. Through our relationship with God, by the Holy Spirit, we come to understand God’s heart for ourselves, other believers and the world. We strive to provide an atmosphere where we can experience God in a deeper way through sharing with others the adventures and challenges of our daily walk with God, discussing questions and insights concerning God and the Bible, and receiving prayer and support in our spiritual growth. We want to support others in their relationship with God as we grow together.
Matthew 22:37-40, II Thessalonians 3:5, I Corinthians 13:4-8
Community
As we discover God’s heart, we are led to explore the true meaning of Christian community within the family of God. We strive to love, support, and encourage each other as brothers and sisters through sharing activities, genuine friendships, laughter, and accountability. Seeking to cleave to one another in love, we draw strength from each other as a body of believers. New community encourages this new way of living through discipleship, small groups, and events that foster our love and understanding for each other.
Romans 12:4-13, Ephesians 4:2-7, 11-13, I Corinthians 12:12-14, 18, 27
The World
Community equips people to make a difference in their world by impacting their family, church, school, workplace and neighborhood for Christ. Together we are learning to be a blessing to those around us. God seeks to use us as His chosen tools for the work of redeeming the world back to Himself and we multiply our effectiveness through unity. As our relationship with God and His family deepens, we come to understand God’s heart for the lost world and are compelled to reach out in love and invite them to join us in discovering true community with God and others.
Matthew 18:11, Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 2:10, II Corinthians 5:17-21
Will you join us? We are one body and cannot fulfill God’s Great Commission without you.
