Worship
Worship plays an important role at bluer. It is more than music, more than singing. It is a time when we express to God His infinite worth to us. Our worship times can be loud and intense at times, but there are also calm and intimate moments. It’s about using the range of emotions and thoughts God has given us to communicate with Him on the truest level we can.
We don’t claim to understand everything there is to worshiping God and we respect each individual’s personal expression to Him. During the worship time, people are encouraged to express their hearts to God in Biblical ways like singing, clapping, lifting hands, kneeling, bowing, and even dancing! It is our desire that everyone attempt to worship in a way that is both real and extravagant in response to God’s real and extravagant love for us.
So join in or sit back and enjoy. Either way, we hope you open your heart to experience the power and love of Jesus Christ.
Sacramentis
We set aside time every week to observe the sacrament of Holy Communion. All are welcomed to participate; we just ask that you are pursuing a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Offering
Giving financially is another biblical way we express our love and gratitude to God. Regular giving and special offerings are how we fund bluer and its ministries.
The Message
We want everyone that comes to our gathering to be encouraged and challenged to live their life for God. At bluer, you’ll hear messages that are relevant to where you are - we know where you live, because we live there too. Our hope is simple. We want to know God better. To get closer to Him. To seek the Deep.
Café Time
Following the service, we like to gather together, rekindle our friendships, and develop new ones with our guests (You!). Help yourself to some refreshments and make some new friends.
Ministry Time
Often the speaker’s message will challenge or touch your heart in a compelling way. Afterward, you can respond to God and/or receive prayer in response to the message — or for any other reason. Our ministry team is ready to meet with and pray for you.
Of course you are also free to pray to God by yourself. We believe that God speaks to us today, and during the service, God may “speak” to believers for the benefit of the church. It may be during the “Ministry Time” that the pastor may release these messages to the congregation. If you feel that God is speaking to you for the church, we ask that you please submit it to the pastor.
Prayer
One of the benefits of community is not having to be alone, especially if you or someone you know or love is hurting. Jesus knew this very well. So he taught his followers to come around those and with them to ask of God for help.
We at bluer believe that God does answer prayer. So we pray. We don’t always get what we pray for but we know that if we ask for nothing we’ll get it every time. At the close of the gathering we desire to create an opportunity for you and members of our trained prayer team to pray together for whatever you need. We can pray in the main gathering space or in prayer room, the choice is yours. We know that it is moment of vulnerability and trust, so we promise you, no weirdness, just gentle heartfelt prayer on your behalf.
Alt.Worship
Alt.worship is a method by which we teach, learn and express faith in God. We engage the participant through interactive medium, often incorporating visual, auditory and kinesthetic activities. This may take form as a part or emphasis of the weekly gathering. We seek to bring the arts back into the church. We give a voice to the members of our community to create using their unique gifts. We as the 21st century Church find inspiration from Church history and today’s culture seeking to be relevant, intentional, thought-provoking, reverent and true to the Scriptures as we pursue God.
If you would like, you can email or call the church with your prayer needs.
